Tergar Shrine Hall,
7 – 8 March 2025
The nuns and their teachers met together over two days during the Arya Kshema Winter Gathering to offer this ritual, which originated with the first Karmapa, Dusum Khyenpa.
It is one of several rituals from the Karma Kamtsang tradition which the Seventeenth Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, has revised and re-instituted. The extensive practice form of the ritual was first performed at the Special Kagyu Monlam in February 2023. Since then, the Karmapa has finalised all the details for its performance, and the nuns offered the shorter sadhana practice. Offering this ritual has become part of the annual Arya Kshema. It was led by Khenpo Ghawang.
