སྤྱི་ལོ་ ༢༠༢༤ ཟླ་ ༢ ཚེས་ ༣ ཉིན། སྐྱབས་རྗེ་སྒྲུབ་དཔོན་བདེ་ཆེན་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་དབུ་བཞུགས་མཛད་དེ། སྐབས་བརྒྱད་པའི་འཕགས་མ་བདེ་བྱེད་མའི་དཔྱིད་ཆོས་སུ་འདུས་པའི་མཁན་སློབ་དགེ་བའི་བཤེས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་གཙོས་ པའི་དགེ་འདུན་བཙུན་མའི་འདུས་ཚོགས་ཡོངས་ནས། ཀུན་མཁྱེན་ཆེན་པོ་དྲི་མེད་འོད་ཟེར་གྱིས་མཛད་པའི་ཕུད་རབ་རྒྱས་པ་འདོན་སྩོལ་རེ་སྐོང་བཀླག་ཆོག་ཏུ་བཀོད་པའི་སྟེང་ནས་གནད་སྨིན་གསུང་འདོན་གྲུབ་པའི་ཉིན་གྱི་བརྙན་ཡིན།
At 3.00pm, the nuns gathered on the porch of Tergar Monastery. Drupon Dechen Rinpoche officiated as Vajra Master as they performed a fire puja, commissioned by Tsurphu Labrang. Several of the nuns have fallen ill and there have been other obstacles; the purpose of the fire puja is to pacify local deities, other spirits, hell beings and so forth with prayers and burnt offerings, and thereby clear away these obstacles.
An altar of offerings was set up in front of the main shrine hall and three bonfires were lit —the first for vegetarian offerings, the second for non-vegetarian offerings, and the third for ‘sang’, the aromatic smoke offering made with the branches of evergreen trees and shrubs.
